Description
The current ad-hoc arrangement with external delivery providers could be converted to a formal contract agreement via a market approach. As part of the procurement process provision could be madeto perform an environmental scan across SAPOL and assess any other transport requirements for possible inclusion in any future agreement. Provision could also be made to assess the delivery services currently being provided to SAPOL’s regional areas, for possible inclusion in any future agreement.
The requirement is to recommend a solution for Delivery Services, which is to approach the market and establish an agreement for the metropolitan delivery component of mailroom services, including deliveries and collections.
The recommendation to establish an agreement for the metropolitan delivery schedule consistent with the preferred delivery method of information assets in six other law enforcement jurisdictions.
