Description
The Department for Child Protection (DCP) has responsibility to provide services for children and young people who are at risk of neglect or harm, and have been removed from their family home. This is a statutory requirement under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, and the Family and Community Services Act 1972, to promote individual, family and community welfare.
Accordingly, DCP now seeks to establish one (1) dul placement contract with a suitable Not-for-Profit (NFP) service provider, for Provision of Disability Specific Residential Care Services for 2 young people (Clients) under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive DCP.
The proposed contract term, subject to successful negotiation and Client needs, is up to a maximum of three (3) years and eight (8) months, (assuming November 2020 contract commencement) until the oldest Client attains 18 years of age and will no longer be under DCP guardianship.
