Rutherglen Sheridans Bridge Road Water Trunk Main Duplication

North East Water (NEW) is seeking to engage an experience Principal Contractor to construct the watermain duplication for Rutherglen Water Supply, located at Rutherglen Victoria.
The proposed scope covers the duplication of the trunk water main to increase supply and pressure of the water network servicing Rutherglen, new property developments and planning for future growth. The water main duplication will be from the Rutherglen Clear Water Storage Tank, heading West to Sheridans Bridge Road, then follow the road shoulder in the North-Easterly direction crossing the intersection of Ready Street and High Street. The contract generally includes the following works:
• Approximately 790 meters of 500 diameter watermain duplication
• DN225 connection to the existing water supply main at Ready Street
• DN225 cross connection to an existing AC water main on High Street
• Connection to the existing outlet pipe at Rutherglen Clear Water Storage Tank
• Air valves
• Scour valves
• Associated isolation valves and fittings
• Road crossing at Ready Street and High Street intersection
• Testing and commissioning
• Site restoration
