HMAS Stirling Defence Fuel Installation (DFI) Remediation Package 2 – Piping & Tanks Remediation

The scope of the project is to address fuel pipeline, storage tanks and valve issues in the Oil Fuel Installation (OFI) and Naval Fuel Installation (NFI) at HMAS Stirling. The design and construct scope includes, but is not limited to, pipe replacement (both stainless and carbon steel), pipework remediation, valve assessments, valve remediation, valve replacements and tank remediation and / or replacement.

The overall scope of work consists of:

Naval Fuel Installation (NFI)
Replacement of all NFI to Wharves Pipework;
Installation of Manual Valves to the NFI Storage Tanks;
Replacement of the Existing Dump Tanks;
Fitting of Dry Break Couplings to Aviation Fuels (AVCAT) & Quarantine Wharves Off-loading Coping Points;
Installation of Additional Valves and Caps to Sample Points on Quarantine Storage Tanks;
Design & Installation of Leakage Indicator Drains to Relief Valves for NFI;
Replacement of the Existing AVCAT Quarantine Horizontal Storage Tanks (HST); and
Installation of additional Isolation Valves at the Shoreline to Wharves.

Oil Fuel Installation (OFI)
Replacement of the OFI Above Ground Pipework;
Installation of Isolation Valve Locks for OFI Diesel Fuel Lines
Installation of Manual Valves to the OFI Storage Tanks;
Replacement of the Existing Dump Tank at Building B0054;
Installation of additional Isolation Valves at the Shoreline to Wharves; and
Buried Pipeline Condition Investigation.

Moresby – Small Boat Harbour
Installation of Isolation Valve Locks for OFI and Moresby (Small Boat Harbour) Diesel Fuel Lines;
Replacement of the Existing Small Boat Harbour Diesel Tanks; and
Repair of Pipework Corrosion and New Protective Coating.

Parkes and Oxley Wharves
Replacement of AVCAT and Quarantine Pipelines; and
Replacement of OFI pipeline.

Diamantina Wharf
Replacement of AVCAT pipeline; and
Replacement of OFI pipeline.
