Description
The Mobile Explosive Total Containment Vessel (METCV) – Trailer Version is designed for the safe containment and removal of suspect objects possibly containing explosives, hazardous toxic substances and radioactive materials.
The removal of these materials is necessary when blowing explosives in place is not practical due to certain infrastructure and associated costs. The METCV allows the Bomb Technician to contain and remove an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) or hazardous material from its initial location to a safe viable location where the device or material can be destroyed or sampled.
The METCV is gas tight and modular in construction to accommodate a range of uses when dealing with hazardous and explosive materials.It is designed to withstand repetitive explosive blasts within specified blast yield tolerance.
