Description
The Department requires a dedicated Grants Management System (GMS) to support operational delivery of the Policy and Procedure. The GMS will improve oversight and governance of DoT’s grant programs. The Department of Transport will administer 12 grant programs in 2022-23. Grant program spending totalled an estimated $61m in 2021-22, with $58m budgeted for the 2022-23 financial year.
A trial grants administration system was appointed in 2022. This system is limited in scope and presently supports three of the Department’s 12 grant programs. This arrangement will be in place until September 2024.
