Description
Programmed Facility Management Pty Ltd (PFM) on behalf of Department of Finance and Department of Education (DoE) are seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake Water Harvesting System Upgrade Works at Gidgegannup Primary School.
Gidgegannup Primary School has two water supplies that are reticulated around the site and no scheme water is available to the site. The first is a bore water system that services the irrigation, fire hydrant and toilet flushing systems. The second water supply is through a rainwater harvesting system. This system collects rainwater from each school blocks within an in-ground rainwater harvesting tank. The stored water within the below ground tank is transferred into the above ground site storage tank located on the water tower. A chlorine dosing system located at the base of the water tower recirculates water from within the tank through a chlorine dosing system. Pressure pumps are installed on the tower’s platform which distribute potable water to all school blocks for handwashing, food preparation and drinking. The scope of works involved for the upgrade of the existing rainwater harvesting system.
