WA Department of Water
Fabrication of Gauging Station Platforms, Ladders and Instrument Towers
Details
Description
The instrumentation used to collect this water information is often elevated above the natural surface to a height that requires a platform and ladder adhering to Australian Standard (AS1657-1992) and the Commission for Occupational Safety and Health 'Codes of Practice for Prevention of Falls at Workplaces'.
The Department of Water is undertaking a Asset replacement program of it's existing Platform, Ladder, and Instrument Tower infrastructure to ensure compliance to the required standards. This requires the services of suitably qualified and experienced Company to fabricate the Assets to the required dimensions, and specifications. It is likely that this replacement program will be undertaken over a three to four year period, and will require the finished products to be delivered to Department of Water Regional offices across the State.
