Demolition of Existing Infrastructure at Bellevue Depot (Package 2 - Eastern end)

Description
The Contractor is required to demolish and remove all infrastructure and assets (excluding the underground site services) within the Site. The Contractor’s Site is shown in Appendix A – Boundary Survey of Book 4 – Scope of Works.
The Contractor is required to remove several gantry cranes within the Rail Welding Area identified in Book 4 – Scope of Works, Appendix D. These cranes are approximately 5.5 meters above ground level (refer to Book 4 – Scope of Works, Appendix J). Therefore, the Contractor or its subcontractor for the removal of the gantry cranes is required to:
- possess a current Class 2 demolition licence from WorkSafe WA; OR
- be ‘in the metal fabrication or engineering industry in the course of maintaining, refurbishing, upgrading, modifying or decommissioning plant’ in order to meet the requirements of subdivision 3.115(1) of the Occupational Safety & Health Regulations 1996.
The demolition works are to be carried out in compliance with Australian Standard AS2601: The Demolition of Structures (AS 2601).
