Personal Protective and other Equipment for Quarantine and Essential Services - Supply, Assembly and Storage

Quarantine and other infection control measures will be a priority for people who may be in contact with infected persons should a H5N1 influenza pandemic occur.
The supplied equipment will be packaged into four caches for use by different groups - basic health unit, at home pack, health support pack and first response pack.

Successful tenderers will be expected to supply, assemble and store, or arrange for storage with a third party, all of the following items: alcohol hand rub, examination gloves, goggles, children`s surgical masks, basic surgical gowns, infra red ear thermometers and disposable ear probes, digital clinical oral thermometers, facial tissues and garbage bags.

Following supply of the goods to the Department, the goods are to be stored at a site identified by the tenderer and agreed to by the Department, which facilitates rapid deployment by the Department.

It is desirable that the storage site be located no more than a two hour vehicle journey from Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne airports. Goods must be stored in accordance with the manufacturer`s instructions.
