CREMS - Computer Room Environmental Monitoring System

The ATO requires a monitoring and maintenance solution for existing CREMS to provide real time monitoring and alarm notification for Computer Room (CR) environment systems. This system will include electrical management, heating, ventilation & air-conditioning, humidity control, water under/on floor detection and fire systems. A further option for the CREMS solution is for the provider to offer a Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) capability that offers real-time visibility of the organisation’s CR environment.

The monitoring and maintenance solution should be compatible with the existing hardware specifications as detailed in appendix A.

Inputs for CREMS are to include (but may not be limited to) items as detailed in appendix B. Also to be included is the monitoring of UPS’s in telecommunication rooms.

The system is to provide infrastructure monitoring (with the capability for upgrading to management and planning) of the Uninterruptible Power System (UPS); UPS Distribution Board; PDUs; In-row Cooling; Environmental Sensors; (all the above supplied by the CREMS/DCIM vendor); SNMP devices from multiple vendors (ex. UPS, IRC, and PDU); Modbus devices; and other infrastructure systems as specified.

Operation is independent of the building air-conditioning, environmental and electrical control, and protection systems.

Installation of the system is to include required modules and GSM network including components for connection to NBN, other interconnections and auxiliary power supply. A one RU termination panel (Krone or similar) shall be provided for demarcation of contact alarms from the Fire System and external Switchboards.
