Description
The ACMA requires a warehousing and distribution service (WDS) that is able to facilitate the receipt of orders for the ACMA’s products, provide storage for the ACMA’s products and provide an order fulfilment and delivery service for the ACMA’s products.
The potential WDS supplier must be suitably experienced and resourced and be able to maintain an efficient and effective warehouse management, inventory and delivery service.
The potential WDS supplier is to have the capacity to accept orders electronically (i.e. via email or web based) from the ACMA, to meet special requirements or those of an urgent nature.
The WDS is to comprise the following elements:
• Warehousing (including storage, pick, pack and dispatch)
• Warehouse management system
• Inventory control and reporting facility
• Product ordering system
• Nationwide distribution capability (via mail and freight)
