Description
The second HPU is planned to be able to duplicate the ability of the original HPU to drive either FMS (but not both at the same time), and so be available to provide operational backup when the original HPU is not available (e.g., due to maintenance, failure, etc). The original HPU shall maintain its capability to drive either simulator (but not both) and so provide operational backup when the new HPU is not available.
