Kelso Community Recycling Centre - T43-23

Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced Architectural Consultants and associated Sub-Consultant team for the provision of Consultancy Services for the concept design, sketch design, planning approval, detailed design, contract documentation, construction certificate (CC) documentation and advice during tender and construction services related to the Kelso Community Recycling Centre (CRC) Project, and site planning around the CRC site to cater for and safeguard opportunities for future built form. Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) are permanent drop-off centres for common household problem wastes that can’t be collected via council’s kerbside waste and recycling collection services. The primary aim of the Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is to make it easier for residents to safely dispose of materials that can be hazardous to the environment or to public health. CRCs are to be designed and operated to temporarily store these materials safely, until they can be collected by EPA contractors and recycled or disposed of appropriately. The CRCs allow NSW householders to drop off problem wastes at these centres year-round, free of charge. The design, documentation and construction services shall be undertaken by the lead consultant who is a qualified and registered architect. The design shall conform with the requirements as set out in the guidelines for CRC provided by the EPA, the current Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia (BCA), and all other relevant industry guidelines. The lead consultant is responsible for the engagement, management, and co-ordination of all members of the Design Consultant Team for the project.
