Wandiligong Booster Pump Station Upgrade

North East Water (NEW) are seeking to engage a Principal Contractor under a design & construct contract to install a new booster pump station next to the current Wandiligong booster pump station.

The project objectives are to install:
• New duty standby pump set located at ground level
• Associated electrical works including new switchboard.
• Associated pipework connecting to existing pipework.
• Building to accommodate pump set / temporary generator. Building to comply with relevant fire rating code – BAL 40.
• Provision for secondary power supply i.e generator.
• Improve vehicle access to meet emergency and maintenance vehicles requirements.
The project will address issues identified with the existing infrastructure to ensure ongoing reliability and improved safety of the system. This will ensure reliable supply of water to the township especially in the fire season where properties run sprinkler systems for fire prevention.
The proposed project will be completed under a “Design and Construct” contract and is scheduled to be completed by April 2025.
