Industrial Machinery for Industrial Technology and Design (Manual Arts) use in Educational Facilities

1.1.1. The Department is seeking offers to establish a revised preferred supplier arrangement with multiple suitable suppliers for the:
• supply of industrial machinery for use in Industrial Technology and Design (Manual Arts) departments in educational facilities;
• installation of industrial machinery as required; and
• support, including training and ongoing warranty services.
The arrangement is to be valid for an initial period of (3) three years. Any following extension/s will be at the Department’s discretion.
The Invitation to Offer will introduce new levels of compliance with Australian and international standards in manufacturing and safety. To ensure the compliance is held Offerors will be required to provide third party evidence of their compliance with the standards listed in the attached document. For the items of machinery for which there is no standard nominated, Offerors will be asked to detail in their offer, any Australian or international standard applicable and provide evidence of compliance.
DET is endeavouring to ensure that all items of plant purchased for Industrial Technology & Design (Manual Arts) workshops within educational facilities are designed, manufactured and used according to an approved standard as outlined in the Plant Code of Practice 2005 (Queensland).
