Construction of new lookout and/or Walking Track - South Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday IslandThe Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for . It includes.Stage 1 Projects
• Component 1 - ‘Construction of new lookout - South Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island’
• Component 2 - ‘Construction of 1800m of Class 3/4 Walking Track - South Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island’
Important Note: Stage 1 Projects above can be awarded in whole or in part at The Department absolute discretion.

The Department is currently in progress of finalising of the design for the following Stage 2 projects:
• Component 3 - Chalkies Beach short walk & lookout; and/or
• Component 4 - Upgrade of Tongue Point walking tracks.
It is at The Department absolute discretion to request the Successful Supplier to provide an offer for these Stage 2 Projects, once The Department has finalised the design utilising the same Terms and Conditions of Contract as Stage 1 Project.
This would be at the Department absolute discretion and depending on the following:
• The design for Stage 2 Projects has being finalised before the Successful Contractor has demobilised from site at completion of Stage 1 Projects; and
• The Successful Contractor has identified its willingness and capacity to undertake the stage 2 works (refer to Response Form 5.11);
• The Principal’s requirements have been satisfactorily met through the Stage 1 works (taking into consideration the KPIs in the Project Brief);
• The Successful Contractor and the Principal can agree on the price and timeframe for Stage 2 Project.
Note: The first three (3) dependencies above would have to be meet for The Principal at its absolute discretion to request the Successful Contractor to provide an offer for this Stage 2 Project.
An award (variation to contract) for Stage 2 Projects to the Successful Contractor would require all the above dependencies being meet.
