Description
National Rail Safety Law requires a rail transport operator to implement a Drug and Alcohol Management Program (DAMP) for rail safety workers.
The Procurement is to engage a suitably qualified Contractor to provide a random workplace drug screening and alcohol testing service across Operational Rail Worksites with the following requirements:
- Random alcohol testing and random drug testing (saliva and urine);
- Laboratory Service (from NATA accredited laboratory);
- Monitoring Drug Screening;
- Incident Callout and Show Cause Callout (contractor to have a 24/7 facility to screen for drugs and alcohol, within legislated timeframes); and
- Calibration and Maintenance of Self-Testing Stations.
Possible additional requirements:
• Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training;
• Supply and Installation of Self Testing Stations;
• Wall bracket/arm for Self-Testing Stations; and
• Lockable cabinets for Self-Testing Station.
