Occupational health and safety: Industry-specific hazard management document for Automotive Component Manufacturing Industry

The WorkCover Corporation Grants Committee has approved a grant for a project from the Automotive Component Manufacturing OHS Committee to develop an industry-specific hazard management document for automotive component manufacturers. WorkCover Corporation seeks a suitable person(s) to undertake the project, commencing as soon as possible. The project includes: Conducting a brief literature search from like industries or generic small business hazard management documents; Developing a draft hazard management document and industry examples of completed forms; Developing a short questionnaire to assist in identifying ongoing OHS strategies for the Automotive Component Manufacturing Industry; Consultating with the industry in relation to the draft hazard management document. Trial of the document within the industry; Overseeing the design and printing of the hazard management document; Promoting and implementing the hazard management document into small to medium sized businesses (50 workplaces) within the industry through the provision of a one-on-one consultancy service, and; Collating and providing questionnaire results, and short-term evaluation of the hazard management document. The successful tenderer can expect to commence the project immediately upon contract agreement.
