Description

The Positive Partnerships program aims to build partnerships between schools and parents and carers to improve the educational outcomes of school age children with autism. The Program provides current, relevant and evidence based information to parents, carers, teachers, principals and school staff through face-to-face workshops and online resources.

The Program provides:

      a. Professional learning for teachers, principals and other school staff to build their understanding, skills and expertise in working with school age children with autism.
      b. Parent/carer workshops and information sessions, to assist them with their child’s education needs and to work with teachers, school leaders and other staff in order to improve their child’s educational outcomes.
      c. a website providing online learning modules, webinars and other resources, including a range of resources for educational staff and parents and carers in different languages, for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
