A project to be undertaken

Contractor engagement is for the delivery of 2 new high schools (HS) with 51 teaching spaces including 3 support teaching spaces per high school as stage one (1) out of two (2) stages. This first stage for both schools will provide a total capacity for 1000 student HS’s. The masterplan for the new Leppington HS has a stage 2 planned capacity for 2000 students and Gledswood Hills has a total planned capacity of 1500 students. The staged approach will ensure that demand is met while giving flexibility should demand materially exceed forecast in the long term, without over building asset in the short term. High school designs are completed according to SINSW Pattern Book and SINSW established Education Facilities Standards and Guidelines (EFSG). The design is focusing on the Pattern Book, which will provide DoE compliant conceptual designs and pre-approved standardised, adaptable elements for the delivery of schools.
