Design & Construction

North East Water are seeking to engage a suitably qualified Principal Contractor under a design and construct contract to install a new sewer rising main running from the Mt Beauty Tennis Court Sewer Pump Station to the Mt Beauty Waste Water Treatment Plant. The approximate length of the new sewer rising main is 920 metres. In addition, the pump station will be upgraded with new duty standby pumps replacing the current single pump.
Modelling has been completed as part of the overall future planning for the Mt Beauty area and has identified the need to upgrade the current gravity sewer main to a new sewer rising main to meet future growth. In addition, the new sewer rising main will improve the reliability of the network and prevent surcharging / potential overflows in the downstream sewer network.
The contractor will be responsible for all associated works, including but not limited to the following:
• Sewer Rising Main – DN160
o Supply & Installation of 920m sewer rising main
o Valve pit and associated valving
o Flowmeter
o Connections
• Gravity Sewer Main – DN150
o Supply & Installation of 100m gravity sewer main pipe – connect existing network.
o Connections
• Duty Standby Pumps – 4 kW
o Supply & Installation of Duty Standby Pumps
o Electrical Connection
