Burraga, located in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, has been identified as a priority area for investment in pest animal control due to its high vulnerability to feral pig activity and other invasive species. The region’s mixed farming enterprises and proximity to forested public lands make it particularly susceptible to pest-related damage, including destruction of crops, pasture degradation, waterway contamination, and threats to native biodiversity. CTLLS plans to deliver an aerial control program in this region through funding from FPPP and has been supported through regional NHT funds.
