Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) – specifically Community Corrections – uses oral drug tests on offenders in the community in accordance with drug testing conditions of their order or upon reasonable direction from their Community Corrections Officer. The existing contract for supply of oral drug testing devices expires 30 Sept 2022, with no further extension options. If the existing contract expires without a new agreement in place, CSNSW will be unable to undertake BAU functions, including monitoring court-imposed drug abstention conditions.
