Land Simulation Core 2.0 Tranche 1 - Open Approach to Market for the Common Simulation Software (CSS)

LS Core 2.0 will address capability and staffing shortfalls within the Land Simulation System (LSS) to deliver enhanced simulation effects to Army’s point of need.

It will achieve this by delivering a managed suite of common simulation software, improve data warehouse functions, improve interoperability with Land Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (C3ISREW) systems, and establish a complementary contracted workforce to support an expanded Land Simulation Network (LSN) for domestic and coalition training beyond the scope of Joint Project 9711-1.

From a procurement and project management perspective LS Core 2.0 has been split into two tranches. This RFT specifically addresses the requirements of Tranche 1.

Tranche 1 is the acquisition of Common Simulation Software, which is comprised of three software packages:

a. Common Virtual Simulation;

b. Common Constructive Tool Set; and

c. Common Image Generator.
