PTA250076 Perth Stadium Station Facility Works - Construction

1.1 Background The existing secure car park used by Transperth Train Operation’s (TTO) Train Drivers and PTA Staff at Perth Stadium Station is required to be expanded to meet future operational demands. The current car park layout includes 23 parking bays, which is to be expanded by an additional 13 car parking bays as part of these works. Between Perth Stadium Station and Burswood Station, there is a length of existing noise wall along Victoria Park Drive which provides separation to the rail corridor. PTA has noted that trespassers have used this area to enter the rail reserve to illegally tag trains by climbing over the wall. As part of these works, barbed wire will be retrofitted to the existing noise wall to prevent unauthorised access. 1.2 Scope of Works The Scope of Works (SOW) for the construction activities must include, but not be limited to, the following: 1.2.1 Work Package 1: Perth Stadium Station Car Park Upgrade • Protection of any existing services to be retained following the works (as required) • Earthworks • Pavement works • Concrete kerbing • Line marking installation and wheel stops. • All temporary, enabling and other related works required to safely achieve the design intent as shown in PTA250076 – Appendices “Appendix 01 - IFC Design Drawings and ITPs”. 1.2.2 Work Package 2: Noise Wall Security Upgrade • Installation of barbed wire posts to the top of existing blockwork noise wall, with posts mounted to the back of the noise wall, requiring work within the rail corridor. • Provision for Earthing and Bonding requirements of the new installation, including traction bonding of the barbed wire posts.
