QLD Department of State Development and Infrastructure
Bundaberg Excavation and Removal of Waste Materials
Details
Description
Bundaberg Industrial Park has been developed by Economic Development Queensland (EDQ). The site is the undeveloped area of the estate. Historically it was an abattoir site and has since been used as a project lay down area, leased for commercial material storage and other similar activities.
EDQ has been cleaning up the site in preparation for further development within the Bundaberg Industrial Park. During this process a significant ground disturbance was identified and an initial Phase 1 investigation and clean up has been conducted. During this phase the disturbance area has been identified as larger than originally anticipated (known as Cells 2 and 3 in Area A).
This contract is for the Phase 2 work to excavate, sort, stockpile and load out found materials to appropriate disposal facilities and remediate the excavation site for future industrial use.
There is a mandatory site visit for this project.
