48V DC Supply Systems

Renewal activities associated with existing Power Systems Infrastructure require DC systems to be manufactured, installed, site tested and commissioned at various locations that form part of the Purchaser’s Brisbane Suburban Electrification network in South Eastern Queensland.

Queensland Rail’s 48V DC supply systems provide 48V DC to a variety of essential circuits in trackside substations supplying high voltage to the electrified network. Such circuits include: HV CB tripping and closing supplies, protection relay supplies and remote control and monitoring supplies. These circuits are of utmost importance and therefore need to be reliable and continue to operate in the event of a loss in AC supply to the site.

The tenderer shall provide a price for the supply and testing of the 48V DC supply systems and as an option, a price for the contractor to install, test and commission the systems at site;
