Domestic Removal Services

The ABS regularly requires Domestic Removal Services (which includes relocation, storage and other move-related services) throughout the year and particularly during the December-February
peak recruitment period. Removal Services are required when ABS employees and new ABS employees are relocated to a capital city within Australia or when ABS owned assets and property
(e.g. commercial office furniture, workstations, equipment etc.) are moved between States.

The scope of requirements for Removal Services is broad and will include key stages in "door-to-door" type movements of personal and household effects (including but not limited to furniture,
motor vehicles, motor cycles, caravans, boats, trailers). The removal is usually between residences in Australian States i.e. interstate or intrastate or could be "store to store", "door to store" or
"store to door".
