Description

These works involve a range of pest plant control works at the Defence bases Monegeetta Proving Ground and Longlea Magazine Area. The purpose of these works is to reduce the impact and risks of pests on Defence infrastructure and facilities, as well as the local environment. The targeted weed control measures address a range of species.

The contractor is to provide Defence with a report of works undertaken at the completion of the project. The report should contain details of the works completed on each site and include maps, Geographic Information System (GIS) data sets and National Spatial Information Management System (NSIMS) compliant metadata information.It should also include observations and recommendations for future weed management programs.

These works are to be completed during late summer / early autumn during Financial Year 2015/2016, or earlier if the contractor provides sufficient reasoning that pest plant control works will maintain optimal effectiveness.
