as per Part A RFQ documentThrough this work, the RA is seeking to update the understanding of the relationship between quantifiable, direct costs of disasters (such as insured losses) with the intangible and indirect costs that also accumulate from those disasters. This includes a range of costs described in NSW Treasury’s Cost-Benefit Framework for Disaster Losses (2023), including (but not limited to) mental health, mortality and injury, social disruption, loss of amenity, post-event clean-up costs, etc.
