Development of an investment prospectus for a Northern Outback Queensland meat processing facility
Details
Description
The Eligible Customer is seeking offers for a suitably experienced contractor to develop an investment prospectus for a Northern Outback Queensland meat processing facility.
The Australian Government through the Northern Australian Ministerial Forum has recently acknowledged “the difficulties of the northern beef industry’s dependence on a single export market and that lack of competition for meat processing capacity in northern Australia is a significant issue”. Over the next five years, the Eligible Customer works to develop a globally competitive, strong and sustainable Queensland economy. Through the Queensland Government’s 2020 Beef initiative, the State has the objective of doubling the value of Queensland’s beef industry by 2020.
The results of this project will support that initiative by assessing the viability of processing in northern outback Queensland to add value to the northern industry.
