Description
Particulars
The Seaham Weir Pool is part of a multifaceted catchment management approach, being used for recreational purposes as well as playing an important role in providing drinking water for the Hunter region. Several factors are currently contributing to the degradation of the banks and water quality along the Williams River, including carp activity, boating activity, flooding and wind-waves. To assist in the long-term success of the stabilisation works, a 10m wide riparian corridor is identified for revegetation and enhancement works at each property. Revegetation work to be completed will be guided by a Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) created by an ecological consultant and estimated 24-month maintenance period identified.
