Delivery of a Place-Based Service Design Model for the Geraldton and Kununurra Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation Projects

The Department of Communities (the Department) seeks the Services of culturally competent Contractor to deliver a place-based service design model for the Geraldton and Kununurra Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation (Short Stay) facilities.

To ensure the service model for the Geraldton and Kununurra Short Stay facilities meets the needs of prospective guests who are visiting Geraldton and Kununurra from remote communities and towns, a targeted stakeholder engagement and place-based community consultation approach is required to refine existing Short Stay service models and confirm the wrap-around services needed/wanted by prospective guests.

Service model development activities must have a dedicated focus on local engagement and participation of Aboriginal stakeholders including prospective guests of the Short Stay facility, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Aboriginal Elders, Traditional Owners, and community service providers.

The Department will separately undertake a Registration of Interest (ROI) process to identify organisations who wish to register an interest in service provision for the Geraldton and Kununurra Short Stays. Respondents to the ROI will also be engaged in the service provider consultation process.
