Description
All server and database infrastructure for the implementation of the TSDMS is available at the Bureau. The Bureau’s server and database infrastructure is described in section 8 of the Statement of Work. However, the scope of the work includes implementation of the optimum configuration of ICT servers and databases to meet all the TSDMS needs of the Water Division.The TSDMS will be interfaced to the Australian Water Resources Information System (AWRIS) developed by the Bureau. AWRIS contains an enterprise database for the storage of time series data and associated metadata. AWRIS includes the automated application of quality checks. Checks that have been implemented to date are data range and threshold controlled rate of change.The TSDMS will be used to provide analytical tools to support the processes involved in the population and maintenance of data in AWRIS. AWRIS data mangers, data operators and data analysts will be the primary users of the TSDMS. The TSDMS will be utilised in a sandbox environment to quality assure and validate development of ingest routines used for loading regulations data into AWRIS. The TSDMS will also be utilised for ongoing operational monitoring and quality assurance of data being continuously loaded into AWRIS. This specification contains a minimal set of requirements for the TSDMS. Tenderers are encouraged to submit solution proposals that maximise throughput and efficiency for Bureau staff and demonstrate applicable value added services. The appropriate use of automation and work flow tools is encouraged.
