Description
The Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is responsible for conducting national security clearances for members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), the Australian Public Service (APS) and Defence Industry personnel accessing Defence information on behalf of the Commonwealth. When undertaking the security clearance process, the AGSVA must establish that the person is honest, trustworthy, mature, tolerant, and loyal to Australia. In order to assist the AGSVA in establishing a vettee’s suitability independent financial checks are undertaken.
