Superannuation Administration Services
Details
Description
ESSSuper, the registered business name of the Emergency Services Superannuation Board (ABN 28 161 296 741) is responsible for the management and administration of the Emergency Services Superannuation Scheme (“the Scheme”). The Scheme is governed by the Emergency Services Superannuation Act 1986 (Vic) (the Act). ESSSuper’s objectives, duties, functions and powers are set out in sections 6 and 6A of the Act.
The Emergency Services Superannuation Scheme provides benefits for current and former Victorian emergency services employees and their spouses, as well as public sector employees. Total funds under management (FUM) of ESSSuper exceed $27 billion with approximately 150,000 members in the fund. The Accumulation fund totaled $5Bn of this FUM.
A review of ESSSuper’s current operating model, and the imperative to examine replacements for our core registry systems, has identified opportunities to partner with an organisation to provide superannuation administration services.
