The Provision of Operation and Maintenance of the Patawalonga Lake System
Details
Description
Tenders are called for the provision of operations and maintenance of the Patawalonga Lake System (PLS), which includes the Patawalonga Lake System, which includes the Patawalonga Lake, Glenelg Gates, Northern Gates, Barcoo Outlets, Control Systems, etc.
PLS is an automated system, which circulates seawater through the lake on a regular basis and diverts stormwater away from the lake in order to maintain the salt-water ecology at the lake. It plays a significant role in enhancing the ambience of the adjacent Holdfast Shores development, the Patawalonga Lake residential area of Glenelg North, the Holdfast Marina and the Glenelg North precinct in general.
The original contract under which the PSL was constructed, operated and maintained since 2001 is concluding in November 2007. A contract to operate and maintain PLS for a three year term with an option to extend another three years will be offered to the successful tenderer.
As part of the tender call, a tender briefing session and a tour of the PSL will be held on 12 July 2007. Attendance to this briefing session and the associated tour is mandatory. The following is the preliminary agenda for the Tender Briefing Session.
