Details
Description
The Australia-Singapore Military Training Initiative (ASMTI) will see the delivery of enhanced military training areas in Central and North Queensland that will benefit the Australian Defence Force (ADF), provide significant local economic opportunities, and enhance Defence’s bilateral relationship with Singapore. Under the Initiative, Singapore will invest approximately AUD 2 billion to acquire, design, develop and construct military training areas through expanding the existing Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) and establishing a new training area in North Queensland.
The new training area, Greenvale Training Area (GTA), requires some Minor Works associated with the acquisition of the training area.
The scope of work to be delivered by the contractor will include:
Restoration or replacement of existing GTA boundary fencing that is needing repair or closing gaps in boundary fencing if they exist.
Restoration or replacement of existing creek crossings or closing gaps in creek crossings if they exist.
Demolition and removal of redundant fencing no longer in use. This will require consultation with the Contract Administrator and current leaseholders from each property and include removal, disposal and tip fees for redundant infrastructure.
Install new fencing to the new GTA boundary where required.
Install fixed and free-standing Defence signage to the GTA boundary where required
Allow for clearing of vegetation for undertaking the fencing and signage works.
Allow to liaise and coordinate works with Traditional Owners and Agistees.
