Description

The Common User Facility (CUF) is located within South Australia’s maritime precinct known as Techport Australia.

The CUF is a State owned facility and consists of a ship-lift, wharf, ship transfer system and dry berth for ship building and ship maintenance activities. The primary purpose of the CUF is to support the Commonwealth and ASC in the construction of the Air Warfare Destroyers for the Royal Australian Navy. In addition to this Project, other maritime shipbuilding, repair and maintenance activities are supported at the CUF.

This specification details the minimum requirements for the installation of two wharf extensions plus associated support equipment to the existing CUF wharf area.

The existing CUF wharf structure is 214m long. The project requirement is to add an additional two 11.2m long & 10m wide extensions, one at the northern end & one at the southern end.
