Advertise on Transperth Buses and other Nominated Facilities

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking tenders from appropriately experienced and qualified Tenderers to purchase the licence rights to use specific PTA assets (in particular Transperth buses) and other PTA bus infrastructure for advertising purposes, under a revenue sharing arrangement for a period of up to ten (10) years.

This new Licence Agreement will replace a similar licence rights agreement currently held by APN Outdoor which expires on 28 February 2019.

‘Transperth’ is the brand name for Perth’s metropolitan-based bus, train and ferry public transport services provided on behalf of the Government of Western Australia.

The Transperth public transport network comprises bus services operated by three (3) contracted bus service contractors (operating eleven (11) bus contract areas), ferry services operated under contract and train services operated by PTA under an internal service level agreement between the Transperth Regional Town and School Bus Services Division and the Transperth Train Operations Division.

A key feature of the Transperth delivery model is that where possible, the PTA will own or control all significant assets such as buses, bus depots and ticketing systems and make these available for use by the contractor for the provision of the services.

Information relating to the types of bus assets and facilities, as well as the terms and conditions, under which these assets and facilities will be made available to the Licensee, is contained within the Licence Agreement (Book 3) of this Request for Tender.
