Ecosystem Service Asset and Condition Accounts - BDA000767

The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) wants to integrate UN System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) accounts into BDA’s Sustainability and Resilience Strategy and decision making. BDA’s Sustainability and Resilience Strategy (2024 – 2028) has ecosystem targets or related targets. Some of these are process rather than outcome based and measure neither biodiversity nor the economic benefits that biodiversity enables. BDA wishes to build more detailed and SEEA aligned accounts to support the strategy and provide biodiversity and economic evidence to support decision making and the monitoring and achievement of the following targets. The accounts will provide BDA a way of measuring the biodiversity assets and services, as well as understanding how some development decisions can impact BDA’s targets and Bradfield City overall. In this project, ERM will build ecosystem accounts, some ecosystem flows information and develop recommendations for how to use the accounts and account data in decision making.
