Chaplaincy and/or Student welfare and/or Youth Support Coordinator services in Queensland State schools

Please note: An Arrangement, DETESOA101051, is currently in place for chaplaincy services / student welfare services. The two Arrangements, DETESOA101051 and DETESOA101051a will run concurrently and will provide the same services. Contractors to DETESOA101051 do not need to apply for this Invitation to Offer.

The Department of Education, Training and Employment (the Principal) is seeking to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) whereby individual Queensland state schools may purchase chaplaincy and/or student welfare and/or youth support coordinator services (the Arrangement Services) for their school.
Successful Offerors will become an Accredited Employing Authority (AEA / Contractor) to provide the Arrangement Services in identified Queensland state schools.

Contractors will be identified as either a:
• state-wide provider, or
• regional provider.

The number of Contractors selected will depend on the quality and quantity of responses received by the Principal with a view to having schools across the seven Education Queensland regions having access to an Accredited Employing Authority (AEA).

The Arrangement Services Are an optional service introduced into a State school to provide social, emotional and/or spiritual support to students. The Youth Support Coordinator initiative focuses on providing support to at-risk students to remain engaged with their education in order to improve retention and attainment. Chaplaincy/student welfare/youth support coordinator initiative services also provide schools with an additional adult role model to complement other support services in the school such as those offered by the guidance officer.
