Wireless Intrusion Protection

Approximately 10 years ago the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) purchased and implemented a Network Security Platform as a Wireless Intrusion Protection solution to secure QUT’s digital wireless network. The hardware for this solution was then updated in 2009. At the end of December 2015 the existing solution will be at the end of its supported life and therefore a replacement solution is required.

QUT is aware that since the purchase and implementation of the existing solution the technology options to provide this service have evolved and improved. Therefore QUT is also interested in exploring any potential benefits a new solution would have to offer the university. Accordingly, QUT seeks a vendor to provide a solution that will quickly and effectively replace the existing solution with no service disruption and/ or risk to QUT’s business and consequently has prepared a Request for Offer (RFO) with a view to fulfilling QUT’s requirements in this regard.
