RFT0210 - Laurenceson Road Upgrade, Glanmire (Gympie)

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the upgrading, to a 12.0m wide commercial/industrial standard, of Laurenceson Road, Glanmire (Gympie).

The works generally include:
• Environmental Management, including (but not limited to) checking for fauna prior to vegetation clearing.
• Traffic management.
• Earthworks and widening to construct a nominal 12.0m commercial/industrial road standard.
• Removal of existing cross-road stormwater drainage culverts.
• Construction of new longitudinal stormwater drainage.
• Full width granular pavement construction with improved horizontal and vertical geometry.
• Construction / Reconstruction of several commercial and private property accesses.
• Construction of two coat bitumen seal and asphalt surface to road and Waste Transfer Station accesses (i.e. to 10 Laurenceson Road).
• Installation of road signage and road edge guide posts.
• Application of linemarking to new sealed road.
• Scour protection and soil stabilisation measures including riprap and hydromulching.
• Removal and disposal of all waste material from the site and finishing the works to a high standard.

Suitably endorsed tenders close at the below website address at 2pm Thursday 23rd July 2020 Monday 27th July 2020. In accordance with s228(8) of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Regulation), Council may decide not to accept any tenders it receives. In accordance with s288(9) of the Regulation any accepted tender must be the one deemed most advantageous to Council. It is noted that the lowest price tender may not be the most advantageous.
