NSW - Traffic Management Services - Federal Election 2024/25

There is a requirement for the Provision of Traffic Management for 19 New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory OPCs. During an electoral event, traffic management is required to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around OPC sites. This outsource ensures the appointment of appropriately trained and certified professionals to mitigate the risk of injury in and around high traffic flow areas.

AEC OPC Policy stipulates that an OPC must:

• Have sufficient surrounding infrastructure to enable an efficient flow of vehicles in the surrounding area on election night and sufficient space, undercover or internally for the required number of Return of Materials receipting points;
• Work health and safety requirements and legislative obligations must be given careful consideration during the sourcing of premises for, and the operation of, the OPC.
