Description
The Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE) Abandoned Mines Program (AMP) requires geotechnical engineering services to support the assessment and rehabilitation of abandoned below ground mine features within the Elverdton Mine area.
The assessment is to include consideration of the below ground mine features, mine subsidence and any subsidence risk zones with the specified shaft areas across the three (3) designated work areas.
The Consultant shall:
- Conduct Geotechnical assessment
- Prepare a rehabilitation options study
- Prepare technical specifications for inclusion in future tender documentation
The Consultant shall liaise with the respective Aboriginal Corporation, to be advised upon Contract Award, to enable employment of Aboriginal people on-Country through the delivery of the Services if available.
Site travel to Ravensthorpe, Western Australia, is required; some travel to Albany may be required to enable liaison with the respective Aboriginal Corporation.
The contract delivery point is the DMPE offices located at Mineral House in the Perth Metropolitan area.
