School Bus Services (SBS) Booster Seat Supply

School Bus Services is responsible for administering the Student Transport Assistance Policy. Eligible families approved for transport assistance under the policy may be approved to access the ?Orange? school bus services. ?Orange" school bus services operate throughout regional WA and in the metropolitan area for students with special needs. Transport Assistance is provided to eligible families to assist with enabling students to attend school where there is limited or no access to public transport or the public transport provided is not able to meet their special needs. The ?Orange? school bus fleet is fitted with seat belts which must be of a 3-point lap sash configuration. Younger passengers that are not able to be restrained effectively due to their small physical size will be provided with an ?approved booster seat?. School Bus Services require a supplier to provide a suitable non tethered booster seat that can be used in the ?Orange? school bus fleet in accordance with Australian Standard for Child Car Restraints AS/NZS 1754: 2010 and 2013. Bus sizes range from small buses (10 passenger seats) to large buses (57 passengers). Children from the age of 3.5 to 7 years (generally) will require a booster seat due to the weight and/or height of the individual child. Booster seats to be delivered to metropolitan and regional locations.
