Feasibility Study and Business Case to Establish Release 2 of the Advanced Traffic Management Vehicles

Western Australia (WA) Police has undertaken a 12 month pilot project that delivered 48 specially marked and equipped Advanced Traffic Management Vehicles (ATMVs) to support operational traffic enforcement activities. WA Police recently undertook a comprehensive external review of the ATMV project which identified that the build and implementation of the 48 ATMVs has positively contributed to road safety. Nonetheless, the review and the project lessons learnt both identified areas for future improvements. WA Police requires the successful Respondent to conduct a Feasibility Study and subsequent Business Case to establish the second release of ATMVs. The review findings and lessons learned from the original project will be made available to the successful contractor for incorporation into the Feasibility Report. The successful Respondent is to specifically examine the provision and use of various technologies in the vehicles, and integration with corporate information systems to optimise operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. Once the Feasibility Study has been completed, it will inform the development of the Business Case. The completed Business Case will provide business justification for the delivery of the recommended solution. For further information please refer to the attached Request document.
