METRONET - Inner Armadale Line Level Crossing Removal - Engineering and Design

The METRONET office is seeking Engineering and Design (Architect and Landscape Architect) Consultants to help plan and design the Inner Armadale Line Level Crossing Removal project.

The project to remove the level crossings are progressing through the planning phase, with this tender intended to define the project's scope and concept design as part ot the Project Definition Plan (PDP) phase, in accordance with the Public Transport Authority's (PTA) Project Management Framework (PMF) and Engineering Management for Projects (EM4P) procedures.

The project will also require the Engineering Consultants to collaborate with their Designers (Architect and Landscape Architect) plus Land Use Planning and Urban Design Consultants currently engaged by the Public Transport Authority on the project during the contract period.

It is expected that the final concept design is a collaboration between the Engineers and Designers to present a high-quality concept design in line with State Planning Policy 7.0 Design of the Built Environment and the METRONET Station Precincts Design Guide. The final design should be high quality, economically efficient, manage potential negative impacts to the surrounding community through good design (i.e. real and perceived risks of noise, visual, overlooking and shadow impacts) and enable the delivery of attractive, useable spaces under and adjacent to the new structures for the community.

Once completed, this work will inform the Government’s investment decision on the project before going out to the construction market.
